Join the certification commission, as well as some of your the members who are NCRWs as they gather for a roundtable discussion. We are hoping to open the lines of communication with our members in an effort to refine and, perhaps, redefine our credentialing and mentoring frameworks. Member input and suggestions are needed.

The NRWA's evolving certification commission has worked long and hard to come up with a credentialing process that challenges, yet supports, its members in pushing themselves to becoming the best resume writers in the business. The NRWA is proud of its examination model and wants you to succeed.

During this session, particpants will have an opportunity to

• Hear certified members talk about their individual experiences.
• Gather some tips from the commission and previous takers on how for how to succeed.
• Learn about the some of the crucial elements they MUST include in the samples they submit for review.
• Learn about the resource materials that are available to help them prepare their best samples.
•  Find out what mistakes are most frequently made in submitting samples and taking the test.

Participants will also have an opportunity to

• Talk about their experience and/or share their thoughts about getting certified with the NRWA.
• Share their ideas and preferences for ongoing professional development activities.
• Help build a mentoring program that encourages participation.
• Contribute to building a supportive credentialing process that upholds The NRWA's high standards.

The NRWA wants to deliver a credentialing program that builds confidence, encourages members to stretch beyond their current skills, and inspires them to proudly showcase their best work to their peers.
