Taking Inventory of Your Toolbox

Taking Inventory of Your Toolbox
Presenter: Terri Green-Ervin
Recorded: March 28, 2008

Often, in our profession, we are so focused on helping others, we slack on our own marketing promotion. We can lose sight of enhancing our own skill set to maintain marketability. As the needs of our clients, whether it's private clients, college students, or organizations become more complex and increasingly diverse, we must assess our current skill set to determine if we are efficiently equipped to assist with coaching in the various facets of career development. Moreover, we must periodically evaluate if we are positioning ourselves for upward mobility within the profession.

In this seminar, you will:

  • Learn the importance of "authentic" work.
  • Understand the (4) generations and their needs/values of the workplace and how to work effectively with each cohort.
  • Be able to develop a career action plan geared toward upward mobility.
  • Learn how to incorporate the "marketing mix" in promoting your skill set.
