Board Bio
Sally holds three certifications – the Nationally Certified Résumé Writer (NCRW), and the Certified Job and Career Transition Coach (JCTC). She was the first NCRW in Illinois and Missouri. She was the first member to receive the Vivian Belen Award for Volunteerism. She has earned it three times, 2003, 2007, and 2018. She has been a volunteer for NRWA since she joined in 1997. She has served on the Certification Commission ever since. She worked for ExecuNet as a Senior Résumé Consultant in their Center for Executive Careers and Leadership for many years.
Sally’s company, Advantage Resumes, has been in business for more than 20 years providing resumes, cover letters, e-notes, LinkedIn Profiles, and more, primarily to executives. Her business works with people at all levels and industries. It has been a virtual company for years. She has spoken on college campuses, at the Project Management Institute, and at several NRWA conferences.
As an original member of the National Résumé Writers’ Association and as Board member and Certification Chair for at least 12 years, she initiated policies and procedures to make and keep the NCRW strong. Sally has extensive knowledge of the history of the Association that she brings to the table. She can stay focused and see the forest through the trees. She is also able to gain consensus through compromise. Working with a Board of volunteers can be quite a challenge but one that Sally has always met. Many minds working together can achieve what one mind alone cannot.
