Presented by Marie Plett, CERM, CPRW
Friday, December 13, 201912:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m., ET
Stop scapegoating applicant tracking software (ATS) as your reason for creating plain, black and white resumes that blend into employers’ piles with the rest of the zebras! You need to make your clients stand out among the herd with stunning, vivid presentations that excel through even the most finnicky/tricky ATS programs. Marie will cover comprehensive information on how modern ATS translates resume elements; simple ideas and quick ATS-friendly designs that can visually transform any resume in mere minutes; and a full demonstration on how a pure ASCII resume (saved as a .docx file) can be turned into a graphic resume without compromising any of its original integrity.
In this webinar you will learn how to:
- Everything ATS accepts and rejects
- How various symbols are changed in ATS
- How to keep your presentation within ATS megabyte limits
- Basic MS Word design techniques
- Machiavellian strategies for getting all necessary data through the systems
Eligible for 1 CEU. This one-hour webinar is $19.99 for NRWA members and $39.99 for nonmembers. It will be recorded and distributed to all participants.
About Marie Plett:
Marie Plett is a Certified Executive Resume Master who first became obsessed with resumes when she was only 12 years old and tasked with helping her recruiter parents screen out bad applications, sifting through large piles of eye-catching resumes printed out in a wide variety of papers, card stocks, and even laminates. She now works hard to bring resumes back to their “glory days” by teaching ATS-friendly design techniques to other resume writers.
Though she started her professional career developing graphics and apparel for some of the world’s most popular fashion brands, she followed her true calling to become a resume writer and founded AspirationsResume.com in 2004. She now uses her considerable graphic design skills to create exceptional resumes that have won 2 ROAR Awards and 14 TORI Awards since 2016.
