As the only nonprofit, member-driven association dedicated to supporting the needs of resume writers, our all-volunteer board relies on your efforts to serve our members, promote our organization, and elevate the reputation and visibility of the resume-writing industry as a whole.

College Career Centers - College Career Center Outreach Coordinator This role will work closely with the Director of Member Support for College Career Centers to facilitate and manage outreach to college career centers throughout the year. Tasks will include, but are not limited to developing contact lists for universities and college career centers for marketing of NRWA programs and educational opportunities, creating and sending out emails using Mail Chimp and Canva to build relationships with college career centers, and calling college career center directors and stakeholders to build partnerships with the NRWA for volunteer or paid service offerings. This role requires someone that can commit 1-2 hours each month to this effort with strong attention to detail and communication skills. Would prefer someone who works in a college career center, but all members are welcome to apply. We are looking for more than just party planners. Our committee works year-round to accomplish the following goals:
Areas of focus in which a conference committee member may take the lead include:
Time commitment: Average of 2-3 hours/month. Attend one monthly planning meeting. Some months may require more time, such as when we review speaker submissions and get closer to our conference date. Leadership opportunity: The incoming Conference Chair serves on the NRWA Board and is traditionally someone who has volunteered for at least one year on the conference committee and has emerged as a leader throughout the year. Marketing Committee Volunteer Social Media Coordinator Seeking enthusiastic and savvy users of social media to work closely with the NRWA Marketing Chair to develop and implement social media strategy, guidelines, and processes. Write social media messages to promote NRWA programs and engage with internal and external audiences. Consult with the NRWA Marketing Specialist to guide creation, optimization, and update of graphics as needed for each distinct audience and social media platform (i.e., optimal size dimensions and messaging for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.). Should be able to engage and monitor responses to posts, understand hashtag strategies, and keep abreast of social media trends both within and outside the careers industry. Other responsibilities would include following the social media presence of other industry organizations and keeping the Marketing Chair and other stakeholders informed of significant developments, new ideas and best practices across multiple platforms. Volunteer Press Release Coordinator Seeking a strong writer with solid organizational skills to work with the NRWA Marketing Chair and other board chairs, leaders, and copywriters to maintain press release schedule and develop content for press releases to promote the NRWA to external audiences and elevate the reputation of both the organization and the resume writing industry as a whole.
